KINGMAN – The Kingman City Council held a work session last week with the City’s federal policy advisors from Nexxus Consulting to review federal priorities and discuss opportunities to secure funding for key local projects. The session included an overview of current federal issues and programs that may impact the City, along with strategies to strengthen Kingman’s position when pursuing federal grants and other funding opportunities.
During the work session, Council and staff received an update on the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) land release associated with Phase 2 of the Kingman Industrial Park. The land release remains on track for approval by Spring of this year and represents an important step in advancing future development within the industrial park.
City Council also identified priority areas that will guide future federal funding efforts, including public safety, stormwater and irrigation infrastructure, street improvements, wastewater and sewer systems, and water service line upgrades. These focus areas reflect the City’s commitment to maintaining essential services and investing in infrastructure that supports both residents and long-term economic development.
City staff will continue working with Nexxus Consulting to pursue funding opportunities aligned with these priorities and to advocate for Kingman’s needs at the federal level.
