Lake Havasu City Council election packets are available

LAKE HAVASU CITY — Lake Havasu City has announced packets containing information, forms, documents and petitions necessary for a Lake Havasu City resident to run for City Council in the Fall Election are available, starting on Monday, January 5, 2026. One Mayor and three Councilmember seats are on the ballot for the Fall Primary Election on August 4, 2026. Those seats are currently held by Mayor Cal Sheehy and Councilmembers Jeni Coke, Jim Dolan, and Michele Lin.

Prospective candidates can make an appointment to pick up a packet directly from the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall by contacting the City Clerk’s Office at (928) 453-4142 anytime during regular office hours. Candidates must be eighteen years of age or older at the time of filing nomination papers, a qualified elector of Lake Havasu City, and have resided within the corporate limits of the City at least one year prior to the election.

All properly executed documents, including nomination petitions containing no fewer than 625 and no more than 1,249 signatures must be filed in the City Clerk’s Office no earlier than March 7, 2026, and no later than April 6, 2026.
