Havasu receives distinguished Budget Presentation Award

LAKE HAVASU CITY — The Lake Havasu City Administrative Services Department is pleased to announce that it has received the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for its Fiscal Year 2025-2026 budget.

This prestigious recognition highlights excellence in governmental accounting and financial reporting. The award reflects the governing body and staff’s dedication to upholding the highest principles of public budgeting and financial stewardship.

“We know how important it is for our residents to understand where their dollars go,” said Administrative Services Director Jill Olsen. “This budget reflects the collective effort of an exceptional team, working together to ensure responsible stewardship of public funds.”

The GFOA is a nonprofit professional association with over 25,000 members, including federal, state, provincial, and local finance officials who are deeply involved in planning, financing, and implementing thousands of governmental operations within their respective jurisdictions. GFOA’s mission is to advance excellence in public finance.
