Three arrested, four pounds of meth seized in traffic bust

BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City police report the seizure of about four pounds of methamphetamine and the arrests of three women for transporting the drugs in two vehicles traveling in tandem. Police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said officers received information that a large amount of meth was being transported to Bullhead City from Las Vegas.

Fromelt said officers conducted traffic stops on a Chevrolet Silverado and a BMW in the 1700 block of Highway 95 at about 10:20 p.m. on Thursday, October 30. She said Lake Havasu City police K-9 Echo alerted to the presence of drugs in both vehicles.

“A search revealed several baggies of methamphetamine, totaling approximately four pounds, as well as drug paraphernalia,” Fromelt said.

Fromelt said April Jacobs, 38, Dolan Springs, was driving the Silverado with Holly Haworth, 45, Fort Mohave, as her passenger. She said the BMW was driven by Dara Tristan, 46, Fort Mohave.

The arrested trio was booked into the Adult Detention Facility for transportation of dangerous drugs, possession of dangerous drugs for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia.
