Volunteers needs for project to benefit homeless veterans

Letter to the Editor

Dear Community Members,

We’re reaching out on behalf of the Jerry Ambrose Veterans Council (JAVC) with an urgent need for volunteers to help complete a vital renovation project that directly impacts our local homeless veterans.

🏠 What’s Needed:

5 Volunteers for Painting: Saturday, October 18

6 Volunteers for Flooring Installation — Week of October 20

This work supports the final phase of remodeling the Welcome Home building on Oak Street — a facility that will provide safe, transitional housing for 20+ homeless veterans. The project must be completed by October 31 to qualify for critical federa funding.

Due to rising costs and limited grant funds, we’re turning to the community for help.

💪 If you’re a veteran, know a veteran, or simply have a heart for those who served — we need you.
