Hollie Hutchins

12-9-78 to 7-6-25

Hollie Michelle Hutchins, 46, passed on Sunday, July 6 at her home, after a long battle with cancer. She was born on Dec. 9, 1978 in Kingman, Ariz., to Helen and Roger Hutchins and was a lifelong resident of the area.

She worked for 23 years as a contract mail carrier, serving primarily the Golden Valley and Oatman routes. She also worked for many years as a volunteer for the American Legion, Post 22, in Golden Valley.

She loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, boating and spending time with her horses. She found her passion when she joined 4-H as a young girl, and throughout her life gave boundless time to helping animals. Hollie was an avid pool player, and more than held her own in numerous mixed pool leagues.

She was preceded in death by her father, son Mathew Daniel Johnson, brother Daniel Olson, grandmother Vivian Davenport, sister Cora Elizabeth Hutchins, and dear friend John Johnson.

She is survived by her mother Helen, brothers Roger, Bryan and Steve Hutchins, “step-sister” Sydell Cogle, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.

The service, which took place on Saturday, July 19 at the America Legion Post in Golden Valley, was attended by nearly 100 of her friends, family and loved ones.
