Sidewalk egg frying is on

OATMAN – The Oatman Chamber of Commerce will be celebrating the 4th of July with their 34th Annual Egg Fry. It is free to register; the goal is to cook the most edible-looking egg.

Registration begins at high noon on Friday, July 4, with cooking beginning at 1 p.m. There are only two rules: Cook your egg only with the power of the sun. Use whatever homemade contraptions, materials or objects you want including mirrors, magnifying glasses, aluminum foil, etc.; and you have only 15 minutes to cook your egg.

Along with egg frying, there will gunfights in the street, and shops and restaurants will be open.
