Storage units going up on North Stockton Hill

KINGMAN – Heavy equipment is engaged in site preparation for a large storage unit facility in the 4200 block of Stockton Hill Road in Kingman. The Exstoredinary Storage development is underway on the 6.5-acre parcel between the High Desert Hyundai dealership and the Hay and the Stockton Hill Feed and Western Wear store.

“It’s all one complex. The drive-up units are the perimeter and then we have three separate climate control buildings, each 15,000 sq. ft,” said Julie Humphreys, a spokesperson for the family enterprise. We’ll have 500 units, including covered and indoor RV/Boat parking.”

Humphreys is optimistic that growth and a more restrictive municipal street parking ordinance will help drive demand. She said thoughtful design components aim for a quality state of the industry storage center that should be open sometime next spring.
