KINGMAN – The Safeway store in the 3900 hundred block of Stockton Hill Road celebrated the completion of an extensive interior remodeling. To gain excitement in the community, the Tuesday event featured Kingman High School band members backing up numerous Safeway district officials, along with store department heads, management, and several vendor booths handing out free samples.
Speaking about ‘handing out,’ the Safeway donated $1,500 to each Kingman Unified School location, in addition to a similar donation to the Kingman High School band. Also present was school Superintendent Gretchen Dolan and the principals of the individual schools.
A Safeway store official told The Standard Newspaper Online that the most noteworthy renovations were an expansion of the floral department and the produce section. The meat department also enjoyed some upgrades, while many of the other improvements happened with floors, fixtures, and infrastructure.
