LAKE HAVASU CITY – City council has approved the rebuilding of a second bridge this summer. The bridge is intended to improve roadways and is scheduled to be completed by June of 2025 in the amount of $458,042.96.
The city authorized the issuance and sale of senior lien wastewater system revenue. The goal of the water project is to reduce debt from $348 million to approximately $179 million after July of 2025.
At its board meeting last week, Arizona State Park and Trail approved Lake Havasu City to received a grant. Havasu was given $4,969,750 for the Slif Fund Grant Project for Rotary Park.
The grant will cover costs for the needed infrastructure to build a splash pad for the park as well as renovations for the existing parking lots. Jacobs proposed a contract with the city called The Water Master Plan. The plan consists of topics such as water production, distribution, demands, and supplies.
The plan also calls for capital planning and infrastructure improvements. This is a seven month contract that will be completed for the amount of $224,940.
