Graffiti bandit busted

LAKE HAVASU CITY – An investigation by the Lake Havasu City Police Department Street Crimes Unit has prompted the identification and arrest of a serial graffiti suspect. A news release indicated that it was determined that Adam Clark, 26, was responsible for three criminal damage incidents in the downtown area.

“Several items were defaced in each of the incidents, including trash cans, electrical boxes, buildings, concrete wash drains and concrete pillars,” the release said. “In two cases, the suspect utilized a ladder to gain access due to the location of the graffiti.”

Police report that Clark was the driver of the suspect vehicle pulled over at 7:52 p.m., Sept. 13 in the area of Mulberry Avenue and McCulloch Boulevard North. “A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of several items of evidence linking him to the graffiti cases, including paint cans, paint markers and graffiti similar to the three cases,” the release said.

Clark was arrested for 16 graffiti related charges and two counts of trespassing.
