Meth, fentanyl, weapon seized in Havasu traffic stop

Michael Seedorf and Shannon Winker

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Significant drug seizure is reported following an Aug. 7 traffic stop in Lake Havasu City. The vehicle reportedly pulled over at about 4:43 a.m. in the 2600 block of Sweetwater Avenue.

“While talking with the driver, officers utilized the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s K-9 ‘Echo’ to perform an open-air sniff around the vehicle,” a news release said. “As a result, K-9 ‘Echo’ alerted on the odor of narcotic drugs inside the vehicle.”

Police Sergeant Kyle Ridgway said a search of the vehicle produced confiscation of about 1/4-pound of methamphetamine, approximately 500 suspected fentanyl pills, a loaded 9mm handgun and more than $1,700 in cash.

Arrested and booked into the Adult Detention Center in Kingman on multiple felony offenses were Michael Seedorf, 48, and Shannon Winker, 38, both of Lake Havasu City.
