KMLC to provide vision screening July 10

On Wednesday, July 10, the Kingman Mohave Lions Club (KMLC) will be providing visual screenings at the Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) Professional Medical Center at 1739 Beverly Avenue, Kingman, from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

A Kid’s Day Vision Screening was previously held Saturday May 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the KRMC Hualapai campus at which 279 children screened and 21 applications were given out those who tested as needing follow-up testing for needing glasses or other services.

They want to give a big thanks to all who previously volunteered their time and a special thanks to Lions Joyce Lucero who organized and oversaw the screenings and Jesse Comeau who did the vision screening on the children.

The KMLC is a non-profit service organization which is part of the Lions Clubs International, which is the largest worldwide benevolent organization. KMLC invites the people to join them in its service endeavors.

The public is invited to its upcoming Thursday noon meetings at Calico’s Restaurant at 418 West Beale Street, Kingman, including the following:

July 18: Justice of the Peace Dave Huerta re: Drug and Mental Well Being Specialty Courts

July 25: Lion Joyce Lucero and Lion Patty Kelly re: Utility Assistance, Eviction Preventions, Foreclosure Preventions and USDA HUD Home Loans
