Mohave Valley fire victims identified

MOHAVE VALLEY – Authorities have released the names of three adults who perished in a Dec. 10 house fire in Mohave Valley following positive identification by the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Sheriff’s office spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said the victims include Janell Norris, 53, Alexander Galvez, 54 and Meryia Loftin, 20, who was pregnant. Their bodies were found after crews extinguished the fire at the home in the 2100 block of Lone Star Dr.

Mortensen said the 20-year-old man who survived the fire was hospitalized in Las Vegas for treatment of serious injuries. She said the man’s parents and fiancé were killed in the fire.

Mortensen said investigation continues as the fire cause has not yet been established.
