Walmart reopens after deep cleaning

KINGMAN – The sun came up and Walmart reopened its Kingman supercenter this morning. Walmart shut down the store for what it called a “deep cleaning” from 2:00 p.m. Monday until 7:00 a.m. Wednesday.

The company provided a statement to the city of Kingman prior to closure indicating the store cleansing is part of the corporation commitment to public safety as it monitors COVID-19 infections in the communities it serves.

There’s community speculation about possible coronavirus infection among the Walmart workforce. There was no mention of that in the corporate communication to the city.
