This is the second COVID-19-related death in Mohave County. The first was also an elderly person hospitalized with underlying chronic health conditions in Lake Havasu City.

MCDPH nursing staff was notified late this afternoon, Wednesday, April 8, of two COVID-19 positive patients from the Kingman service area. The first patient is in the 20-44 age range, and is currently hospitalized at Kingman Regional Medical Center.  This case could be considered the result of community spread.  The second patient in the Kingman area is also in the 20-44 age range, in isolation and recovering at home. This is a travel-related case.

This new case brings to 28 the total positives cases in the county. There are now 15 positive confirmed cases in the Lake Havasu City area, eleven in Kingman, and three in Bullhead City.
