5th Grade Academy continues with Mohave Accelerated Learning Center

MCC Auto Service Instructor, Jim Morris, talked to students about the auto service industry and showed them various tools the program uses to teach its students.

MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College hosted it’s 5th Grade Academy with Mohave Accelerated Learning Center (MALC).

Fifth grade students from MALC visited MCC’s Bullhead campus Tuesday to learn about the various programs at MCC. Students got to tour Auto Service and Auto Collision Programs, Welding, HVAC, Dental, Nursing and much more. Students were able to make Pico de Gallo with the Culinary program for parent night at their school.

Director of Dental Programs, Tracy Gift, showed talked to students about what the students learn in the Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene programs. She also showed students teeth models of what could happen to teeth if they don’t receive proper care.

The College is currently enrolling students for the fall semester 8-week classes which start Oct. 14. Registration for the 2025 spring and summer semesters opens Oct. 21. New and returning students are encouraged to get started by visiting Mohave.edu/Admission.
