In a town like ours, where people look out for one another, we do not talk enough about why losing a pet is so devastating. Some say, “she was just a dog,” but anyone who has cared for an aging or terminally ill companion knows there is nothing “just” about it.

Fessenden elected Phi Kappa Phi
BULLHEAD CITY – Stephanie Fessenden of Bullhead City, was recently elected to membership into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society, at University of Kentucky. Fessenden is among approximately 20,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year.
