MOHAVE COUNTY – UniSource Energy Services is extending its suspension of service disconnections and late fees for nonpayment through the end of the year to provide additional flexibility for customers facing financial hardship during the coronavirus pandemic. UniSource began its voluntary suspension in March in response to the public health crisis. Since then, the company has provided payment extensions, enrollment in short-term assistance and bill discount programs for qualifying limited-income customers. UniSource and sister company Tucson Electric Power also donated a combined $1 million to bill payment assistance and other coronavirus relief efforts in communities across Arizona. Sex offender sentenced

KINGMAN – A teenager molested by his father at separate addresses in Golden Valley asked a local judge Thursday to place his dad on probation rather than send him to prison. Defense attorney Paul Amann asked that the Courtroom be cleared before the victim spoke, but his request was rejected by Judge Sipe. The teen explained that he resides elsewhere and is out of harm’s way from his father Larry Hayes, 35. KINGMAN – The Kingman Veterans Treatment Court (VTC) is set to induct seven members into its first ever Hall of Fame class at noon on September 24, in recognition of the upcoming five-year anniversary of the Kingman VTC Program.
