2020 Census begins preparations in Mohave County

At the Jan 15 meeting of the Mohave County 2020 Complete Count Committee, U.S. Census Bureau representative Kate McDonald presented a timeline for the completion of the 2020 Census in Mohave County.

McDonald spoke about the continued need to educate the public about the Census, in conjunction with local organizations and businesses. McDonald spoke about amplifying the message of the Census on Census Day, April 1. The Census Bureau will be establishing a website that will document all of the Census Day related events across the entire country.

“Anyone who’s looking for a place to go to do their Census form or just to partake in the celebration, will be able to find a local event,” said McDonald.

Census forms are due at the end of July. However, McDonald encouraged residents to do it as soon as it becomes available.
