Young Kids compete in 4H games at county fair

KINGMAN — It’s County Fair time.  The Mohave County Fair, 2025 Edition, complete with all kinds of exhibits, 4H competitions, carnival games and rides have had the run at the fairgrounds in Kingman.

The first day featured groups visiting, including those wheel chair bound, challenged folks, and school children.  The kids came from as far away as MALC in Bullhead City and from the northeaster county school of Valentine.

Four H competitions are big at all county fairs and the Mohave event was no exception.  Poultry was ‘on the card’ for opening day.  But any and every farm animal that you can think of line up for judging on subsequent days.

In the Exhibition Hall, lots of people and displays were up by community groups and commercial entities.  There were big presentations in the arts and crafts wing as well.  Frankly, if it wasn’t exhibited at the fair, it didn’t exist.

Blue ribbons were awarded and showcased everywhere for photography, plant culture, guitar construction, carpentry, baking, and paintings, just to name a fraction of the competitive categories.
