YADAH hosts Hobbies Not Habits event for local youth

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Young Adult Development Program (YADAH) of Lake Havasu is making sure that youths of Havasu develop positive and healthy hobbies. It’s an early intervention program that could prevent unhealthy habits such as substance addictions.

YADAH was formed for the children of the community and has helped them have promising futures. The organization hosts events where children can thrive like their Hobbies Not Habits annual function. The drug prevention event began four years ago.

The beginning of the events was a challenge for the nonprofit team however, over the years, community interest has grown, and YADAH hopes to continue their mission to promote healthy and safe interests amongst the youths. Hobbies Not Habits event will be full of hobbies that children can indulge in such as rock painting, snorkel diving, karate, art, and plenty more. YADAH will have 30 to 33 activities planned for youth.

There will also be giveaways, drawings, and lunch along with some snacks will be provided as well. The Hobbies Not Habits event will be taking place on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Aquatic Center. The event is free to the public. Bring your children and see the awesome impact YADAH is making in Havasu.

Visit yadahlhc.org to learn about the many resources they provide to the youths of the community.
