Woman, dog escape home fire

BULLHEAD CITY – A woman and her dog safely evacuated a Saturday fire that spread from a residence in the 800 block of Roadrunner Dr. Bullhead City Fire Department spokeswoman Lori Viles said crews mounted an aggressive attack of the fire just after 4:00 p.m.

Viles said spreading flames scorched a detached shed behind the home. “The blaze caused shrubbery along the perimeter chain-link fence to catch fire causing the fire to extend to two separate wooden sheds located in neighboring backyards on Stahlman Dr.,” she said.

Viles said Ladder 721’s crew was positioned to prevent further spread of the fire to neighboring homes. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
