KINGMAN – The City of Kingman is excited to announce that they have officially entered into negotiations for their next City Manager. After spending the last several months working with MGT’s GovHR USA executive search consultants to find the ideal individual for the position, local candidate Tim Walsh has come out on top.

Tim Walsh, a Kingman native, who currently works as the Director of Development Services for Mohave County, was formally named at the conclusion of Tuesday night’s Executive Session.  Mr. Walsh brings 15 years of local government experience to the City of Kingman as well as a lifetime of knowledge and dedication to the community he calls home.

“We are extremely fortunate to have Mr. Walsh assume the top leadership role for the City of Kingman,” said Mayor Ken Watkins. “His track record of credible, proficient, and supportive leadership, illustrates a leadership style and level of expertise that will benefit our community, city council, and city staff.”

After successful negotiations, Mr. Walsh’s contract will be placed on an upcoming Council Agenda for approval and acceptance. He is expected to begin serving in his new role in April.
