Volunteering at Beacon of Hope is a key role

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Beacon of Hope Hospice has been boosting the lives of residents since their doors have opened. Beacon of Hope Hospice has created an inviting environment that provides exceptional healthcare to those in need.

They have also created a space where their residents can still thrive and feel useful. Volunteers of the organization play a crucial role to all involved in the care of loved ones. It seems simplistic at first however, visiting patients in hospice as a volunteer isn’t just about dropping in and keeping company with residents.

Volunteers are required by the facility to obtain specific credentials such as a fingerprint clearance card, tuberculosis screenings, as well as CPR and first aid. Beacon Hospice of Hope are always on the hunt for dedicated and compassionate volunteers. Anyone interested in signing up can do so by visiting bohhospice.org. Volunteer opportunities are daily at the facility.

Aside from the relief that the volunteers of Beacon of Hope Hospice provide to family members, staff, and caregivers, the bigger acknowledgment is what their services bring to the patients. It’s a unique experience that gives residents a chance at socializing, encouragement, and even hope.
