Vietnam Veterans Day outdoor cookout events in Bullhead, Havasu 

BULLHEAD CITY – Join Bullhead City Mayor Steve D’Amico and VFW Post 10005 Commander Angela Kruse in recognizing all Vietnam Veterans during the March 29, Vietnam Veterans Day Barbeque.

“Vietnam veterans haven’t always been treated well, and it’s important to remember the sacrifice they made to serve our country and to provide support for those who came back with injuries seen and unseen,” said D’Amico. “I encourage everyone to join me at VFW Post 10005 on Friday, March 29, to honor our Vietnam Veterans.”

The event will take place at VFW Post 10005, located at 1611 Marble Canyon Dr, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bullhead City Mayor D’Amico, Commander Kruse, and others will say a few words in recognition of Vietnam Veterans before treating them, their families, and friends to a free lunch including hamburgers and hotdogs.

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu City is proud to honor our Vietnam Veterans with an open invitation to all service members and veterans to our Vietnam Veterans Day Outdoor Cookout Event, held at the Friends of the Fair Rodeo Grounds off Dub Campbell Way at SARA Park on Friday, March 29. Gate opens at 10:30 a.m., presentation of “Colors,” from the Lake Havasu Marine Corps League Detachment # 757, kicks off the event at 10:45 a.m., followed by the National Anthem, Pledge of Allegiance, and a few messages thanking those who serve in the military past and present. Veterans in need of transportation to and from the event must call for a reservation through Lake Havasu City Transit Services at 928-453-7600, by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22. 

This is a City event, produced by a committee of various local veteran organizations. The venue is sponsored by Friends of the Fair, hotdogs and the fixings are sponsored and provided by the Elks Lodge #2399, and music is sponsored by the VFW and VFW Auxiliary Post 9401.
