Update on milling and paving operations on Acoma Boulevard

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu City continues essential infrastructure improvements along Acoma Boulevard, from SR 95 South at Fremont Drive to McCulloch Boulevard. Crews are advancing roadway upgrades and paving operations while keeping two lanes of traffic open at all times. Temporary lane shifts help protect both workers and the traveling public.

Crews begin milling and paving operations on Monday, May 18, and continue work through June 30, 2026. After completing this segment, the contractor moves operations from McCulloch Boulevard to SR 95 North at Lake Havasu Avenue. Crews also adjust underground utilities during the project.

Please note there is a detour in place at SR 95 South and Acoma Boulevard from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026, to complete work within the ADOT right of way. Please use the posted detour during your commute.

In addition, the intersection at Southwind Drive and Acoma Boulevard is closed on Thursday, May 21, 2026, to continue construction in the area. Motorists should expect traffic impacts near the intersection and use alternate routes when possible.

Because this is a rolling operation, motorists may experience periodic delays. Drivers should allow extra travel time and follow all posted traffic control signs throughout the construction period.

Lake Havasu City appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as these improvements enhance roadway safety and strengthen the City’s infrastructure.
