BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. – Bullhead City police have released the name of the woman who was killed when struck by a vehicle on Sept. 8. 30-year-old Kelsey Figard, a local transient, was dead at the scene of the incident at Lee Avenue and Sixth Street.
“Emergency crews were initially called to a report of a person lying in the roadway at 9:50 p.m.,” said Emily Fromelt, public information officer for the police department. “Officers determined that the woman had been struck by a vehicle and the driver had fled the scene.”
Fromelt said the involved driver, Nicky Manuel Padilla, 61, Bullhead City was arrested in Laughlin. He was initially charged with leaving the scene of a fatal collision.
Incident investigation continues.
