LAKE HAVASU CITY – It is truly surprising to know how quickly the summer months will be approaching Lake Havasu youths of the community. As their school seasons come to a close, many of the city’s organizations, schools, and churches, will have plenty of activities to keep the local children occupied and engaged.
Last Friday Havasu’s Parks and Recreations opened up their registration for two summer camps. Depending on the grades your child will be entering this fall, the annual camps have two choices; Sunshine Camp and CampIwannago.
Sunshine Camp will be for grades kindergarten through 4th grade while CampIwannago will be for 5th grade through 7th grade. Children will have a chance to experience imagination activities, crafts, gym games, sports, and much more. Cost is $305 per child and $246 for each additional child.
Another camp favorite will be hosted by Hilltop Church. Chaos City will be making another comeback this year for 3rd through 6th graders with three days designated for making friendships, playing games, food, prizes, and learning about Jesus and the scriptures. Fees will be $20 per child. Parents can sign up by visiting Kids Camp: Chaos City | Hilltop Church,
Ages 3 through 8 interested in performing arts like ballet will be in luck as Ballet Havasu’s upcoming June dance summer camps will also be available this summer. The nonprofit school full of leaps and pirouettes will have their Passport Around the World classes designed for your tiny aspiring dancers as they can learn entertaining stories, culture, and dance traditions from all over the world. Tuition for ages 3 through 8 is $100 and participation payments for ages 6 through 8 is $125. Enrollments are now open and can be obtained at Classes — Ballet Havasu.
Beginning dates for Sunshine Camp and CampIwannago will have two separate locations. Sunshine Camp will be at Oro Grand Elementary and CampIwannago will be located at Smoketree Elementary starting on June 2 through July 17.
