KINGMAN, Ariz. – Sentences have been imposed for California residents arrested in a near 100-pound methamphetamine seizure in Golden Valley. The drugs were confiscated during an Aug. 3 traffic stop by the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
Some 47 packages containing 97.27 pounds of meth were located in a suitcase in the back seat of the 2025 Jeep Cherokee.
Passenger Samantha Perez, 28, San Bernardino, admitted she was to be paid $5,000 for her involvement in the plan to deliver the drugs to another party at a Kingman grocery store. The driver, Diliwar Singh, 30, Fontana, claimed he was delivering a vehicle, but did not know about its illegal cargo.
Both defendants are convicted of transportation of dangerous drugs for sale and their punishments were stipulated in their plea agreements. Mohave County Superior Court Judge Megan McCoy ordered an 8.75-year prison term for Perez on Nov. 2, followed by a 10-year prison sentence for Singh on Nov. 4.
