Two arrested in drug bust

Trevor Elder
Antonio Vallejos

Two Bullhead City men were arrested after Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies spotted a suspect vehicle before making a traffic stop in Mohave Valley last Saturday. Agency spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said it was about 8:00 p.m. when deputies spotted a vehicle matching the description of a vehicle involved in theft of gas the previous evening.

Deputies reportedly effected a traffic stop in the area of Calle Agrada Drive and Paso Sur Drive where they made contact with the driver, Trevor David Elder, 27, and the passenger Antonio Raymond Vallejos, 21. Mortensen said deputies detected an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle and that a records check revealed that Elder was the subject of an active arrest warrant.

“A pat search of Vallejos revealed two boxes of cannabis vaporization oils and marijuana,” Mortensen said. “A search of the vehicle revealed 8.3 grams of methamphetamine and a glass pipe.”

Both subjects were booked into the Adult Detention Center in Kingman for various drug offenses. Elder faces other charges associated with the arrest warrant.
