Topock man charged with aggravated assault with deadly weapon

TOPOCK – Mohave County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Jimmy Lloyd King Jr., 50 of Topock, for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon per Domestic Violence and Disorderly Conduct with a Weapon, both felonies.

On Tuesday, March 17, deputies responded to a residence in the 4500 block of E. Linden Dr. in Topock in reference to a disturbance and were advised by the victim that King attempted to shoot him with a shotgun; that King had reentered the home and possessed several more weapons and rounds of ammunition.

A standoff ensued; King exited the home but did not comply with deputies’ commands. Deputies implement non-lethal rounds and a noise diversionary devise to subdue King. A loaded shotgun was confiscated. Damage to the home indicated that the shotgun had previously been fired inside the home.
