Toastmasters host spring speech contest

KINGMAN — Kingman AreaToastmasters invites the public to its spring speech contest on Saturday, Feb. 15 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Kingman Regional Medical Professional Building, 1739 Beverly Ave., in the Hualapai Conference Room. This competition includes members from the London Bridge Toastmasters, Lake Havasu City, and the Kingman Area Toastmasters. The afternoon promises to be entertaining with the Tall Tales and International Speech Categories. The Kingman Area Toastmasters is hosting this event and snacks along with refreshments will be available. The contest winners from each category will move up in the ranks and compete in the Division Area contest in Flagstaff on April 11.

“Kingman Area Toastmasters provides a supportive and positive environment where members have the opportunity to develop their communication and leadership skills,” Trish Carter, vice-president of education said.

Toastmasters is the premier club to learn communications and leadership skills. The Kingman Club has been chartered since 2014, and since achieved the highest awards that Toastmasters bestows on a club “Presidents Distinguished Club”. Toastmasters is a powerful force to vault your life, both professional and personal, upward. Feel free to join in a meeting, visitors are always welcome. The Kingman Area Toastmasters meets every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in the Hualapai Conference Room at the Kingman Regional Medical Professional Building located at 1739 Beverly Avenue.
