BULLHEAD CITY – President Donald Trump arrived a half-hour late and delivered remarks for 75 minutes to the more than 12,000 people who attended his Wednesday campaign rally at the Laughlin/Bullhead International Airport in Bullhead City.
There were countless “Sleepy Joe” references to challenger Joe Biden and the President hurled insults at a list of familiar prominent democrats including Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi. Trump said he’ll lead America to prosperity while Biden will sink the nation into depression, depending on the outcome of the general election.
The President spoke of foreign policy and military success, saying Biden will render the nation weak while raising taxes and posing threats to the 2nd Amendment. The President said his leadership will bring the nation and world a vaccine while Biden will shut down the economy, as well as schools, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Trump praised Governor Doug Ducey for “opening up Arizona” and urged the audience to push Governor Steve Sisolak to open up Nevada. He praised Arizona Republican Party Chairman Kelli Ward and Martha McSally, urging the audience to re-elect McSally to her U.S. senate seat.
Trump beat up mainstream press saying a corrupt media is trying to push the nation left toward Socialism. He berated CNN while praising Fox News and its stable of talking heads.
Trump made jokes about the local windy weather and the sun. He called Arizona the home of Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday.
“It’s where the great American West became the American Dream and Arizona is the state where generations of pioneers and prospectors, miners, ranchers, cowboys and cattle hands, marshals and lawmen tamed the frontier—braved the blazing sun that I’m braving today. I’m just as brave as they are. I’m standing up here. I’ll be like a lobster tomorrow—and showed the entire world how the west was won. They helped make America into the greatest nation in the history of the world and the best is yet to come,” Trump said.
Chants of “Four More Years” and “We Love You” reverberated through a crowd that held placards with familiar “Make America Great Again” and “Promises Kept” slogans.
The President and his entourage flew from Bullhead City to the valley for a mid-Wednesday afternoon rally in the city of Goodyear.
