There is no king in America—only a President elected to serve the people

Dear Editor,

When I see another “No Kings” rally pop up, it tells me one thing: President Trump must be doing something right. There is no king in America—only a President elected to serve the people, protect our security, and defend our way of life. President Trump isn’t perfect, but who is? He may embellish or brag, yet he remains authentic to his conservative, common‑sense principles.

Those joining these protests believe they’re making a difference, but in reality they’re amplifying narratives that work against the country. With an active conflict in Iran, some would argue that their actions edge into something far more serious. They are repeating talking points that mirror the messaging of hostile foreign powers.

For the first time in American history, the opposition party has rejected a military action from day one. Past wars have lost support over time, but immediate opposition is unprecedented. That alone suggests the issue isn’t the mission in Iran—which many argue strengthens national security—but rather reflexive resistance to President Trump himself. It’s irrational.

The Democratic Party, critics say, has been overtaken by American Marxists and Socialists intent on reshaping the nation. The organizers and funders behind these protests make that clear. Billionaires like Roy Singham and George Soros—who built their fortunes through the very capitalist system they now criticize—pour money into movements that undermine the values that made this country strong.

Now these same groups oppose the deployment of ground forces in Iran. But this is not a full‑scale invasion. These are targeted, precision operations aimed at high‑value objectives. What objectives? Chief among them: enriched uranium stockpiles that the Iranian regime treasures and that could be used in a dirty bomb or worse. Securing and neutralizing this material is essential.

President Trump is confronting this threat directly, acting to safeguard the future for our children. I commend him for that resolve. And as always, I stand firmly with the men and women of our armed forces and wish them Godspeed.

Thanks,

Victor Grippi

  1. You’re free to support the President. But calling peaceful dissent “foreign influence” is a dangerous way to silence Americans. In this country, questioning a military operation isn’t disloyal — it’s our responsibility as citizens.
Opposition to a war from day one isn’t irrational. It’s people refusing to hand over blank checks for another conflict with shifting explanations and no clear endgame. And it’s not just civilians asking questions. Some of our own service members are quietly inquiring about conscientious‑objector status — a sign that the unease runs deeper than partisan talking points.
Blaming protests on a couple of billionaires ignores the obvious: everyday Americans across the spectrum are tired of open‑ended wars and deserve straight answers, not accusations.
Supporting our troops means valuing their lives enough to ask hard questions before they’re sent into harm’s way. That’s not anti‑American. That’s exactly what a free people are supposed to do.
