Temporary lane shifts on Acoma Blvd in Havasu continue through end of Dec

construction

LAKE HAVASU CITY — Beginning Wednesday, December 10, and continuing through the end of the month, weather permitting, the City’s contractor is installing a steel-cased water main beneath two wash crossings near the intersection of Acoma Boulevard and Jamaica Boulevard. This phase of work requires excavation and boring under the existing box culverts.

Traffic remains open in both directions. However, northbound drivers traveling toward Jamaica Boulevard should expect lane shifts 24 hours a day throughout the duration of this phase. Vertical, lighted traffic control panels and temporary fencing are in place around work areas to ensure the safety of both motorists and workers.

Additionally, paving restoration of the recently installed water main trench is scheduled for December 15 through December 19, also weather permitting, on Acoma Boulevard.

Drivers may experience minor travel delays during this time and are encouraged to plan and allow extra time for their commute. Access to homes and businesses is maintained safely as work is being completed by crews.

This project represents a crucial step in enhancing the long-term reliability of the water system and improving infrastructure throughout the community. The City thanks the public for its patience while crews safely and efficiently complete this work.
