BULLHEAD CITY – A Bullhead City teenager faces attempted murder and other charges for a December 19 shooting in the area Solano Drive and JoAnn Avenue. The 25-year-old victim who was shot several times was flown to a Las Vegas hospital for treatment.

Police report that investigation developed probable cause that Anthony Castro, 19, was responsible for the violence. Castro was taken into custody without incident on December 22 when SWAT personnel from the police department and Mohave County Sheriff’s Office converged on an apartment complex in the 1600 block of Havasupai Drive.

Castro was transported to Kingman and booked into the Adult Detention Facility for attempted second degree murder, misconduct involving weapons and aggravated assault.

Police provided no motive for the shooting. Investigation continues.
