Dear Editor,

For almost 18 months, I have been exposing the many community issues in Mohave County, focusing specifically on Kingman, AZ. The major theme has been that elected community leaders have categorically and defiantly REFUSED to listen to the people’s voice and have done so with reckless disregard and brazen deception. The specific issues have been Uncontrolled Growth and Inadequate Infrastructure. I have enumerated in great detail a plethora of current and pending community problems, all the while our elected officials, both county and city, have hidden behind the misleading ideology of Economic Development.

Holiday eating – December pleasures, holiday regret?

We don’t have to eat ourselves to death to enjoy the holidays. I’m including myself when I say this. I gained two pounds just from Thanksgiving day alone. I had finally lost a few pounds and presto, faster than the twinkling of an eye I gained two back.

It’s easy to do. I ate generous portions of ham and turkey, along with derby pie (two pieces), oatmeal cake and sweet potato pie. Yum yum it was so darn good!

To show for my eating frenzy is some added weight and a high blood sugar number the next day. There are consequences to such pleasure!

Dear Editor,

My friend sent me the copy of the article written by the 84 year old! How tacky that person was in the name calling. Really?? Grade school?? How old are we actually? I’m a 73 year old great grandma. So not a spring chicken – Here is my rebuttal to that letter:

84 Years –

Unfortunately, it seems that you have had a drink or two of that “proverbial Kool-Aid.” In all your years on this earth, I’m sure you have run into people who had a drink of that same “Kool-Aid.”

So, if I may reiterate: I really do wish a liars pants caught on fire.

Dear Editor,
Jake Pickering sounds a little unhinged. He just threatened every Trump voter out there.
He has TDS to the nth degree!
Calm down dude.
No one is coming to get you.
But let me remind you… YOU LOST!
It’s going to be a miserable four years for you. I hope you don’t completely melt.

We must educate ourselves to be balanced

Dear Editor,
Elections today pit high school grads (Republicans) against college grads (Democrats). Democracy historically needs the more educated class to win.
High schoolers are winning for two reasons: there are more of them and politicians can manipulate them more easily than college grads.
However, college grads have become a lot like high school grads. When they get out of school they stop learning and dedicate their lives to one goal and one goal only — making a ton of money the rest of their lives.
