LAKE HAVASU – A suspected drowning at Lake Havasu is under investigation by the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO). Boating Safety Division personnel responded at about 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 10 to the area near The Islander RV Park. Authorities learned that a woman disappeared after jumping from a boat for a swim. “When she entered the water, her improperly secured life jacket came off,” said MCSO public information specialist Anita Mortensen. “The victim began to panic, then went below the surface of the water.” Rescue divers deployed in the area were unable to locate the victim.
