Dear Editor, Another example of (don’t expect an answer if you ask a conservative a question they can’t, or one for which they do not have an answer), was on full display this past week. When reporter Peter Alexander asked President Trump, during a presidential briefing, “What do you say to Americans who are watching you right now who are scared?” Trump responded, “I say you are a terrible reporter, that’s what I say.” Please compare our President’s crude response to President Obama’s 2009 refined answer when South Carolina’s Republican Congressman Joe Wilson yelled, “you lie.” Instead of denigrating the…

Dear Editor, Never was the divisiveness in American politics more evident than the display at President Trump’s State of the Union address. It began with the refusal to shake Pelosi’s hand, and culminated with the shredding of the “speech”, which was labeled a “manifesto of mistruths”. “I” lost count of the number of times “me” or “I” was used, but for “me” the most egregious insult to the intellect came when Trump lambasted education, by alleging students are trapped in failing “Government Schools”, and advocated for “School Choice”. Dear Editor, Did it ever occur to those who are incensed over this Trump impeachment fiasco, the entire thing could have been avoided, if not for the outdated electoral college system we have in this country? With it out of the picture, had the people’s choice actually prevailed, Hillary Clinton would have been president. Then, the Republicans could have been holding impeachment hearings on her!
