Sue Carol Milam

In loving memory of Sue Carol Milam, whom passed away in her home surrounded by friends and family in the early morning hours of June 6, 2024. Born to Roy Watterson and Patricia Berry in Tulsa, Oklahoma, she also had two  sisters and a stepbrother. Sue moved to Kingman in 1947 where she grew up with her sisters and enjoyed her time as a majorette in her school’s marching band. Sue met her husband, the late Everette “Gene” Milam in Kingman when she was 15 before he joined the Navy and was stationed overseas.

Susie had many jobs throughout her life, including being a nurse where she spent most of her time in labor and delivery, worked at a local animal hospital, and helped her husband who worked local law enforcement and was also sworn in as an officer of the court. Throughout her marriage, she lived in Lake Havasu and then found her home back in Kingman, where she raised her three children, Timothy Milam, Laura Milam and Tammy Milam. She was the glue that held her family together and never turned down helping others whenever she could.

Sue is survived by her daughters Tammy Milam and Laura Milam, her grandchildren Jacob Monroe, Susan Davis, Ryan Davis, Travis Bobzien, Troy Bobzien and Tim Bobzien, and her great grandchildren Noah Lancaster, Hayden Lancaster and Delaney Davis, as well as other nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sons Tim and Troy, her sisters Rosalie Westcott and Peggy Johnson, one of her twin granddaughters Sarah Milam and both of her parents and her husband. There will be a graveside service on Thursday, June 13, 2024 in Kingman at Mountain View Cemetery at 10:00 am.

Arrangements were handled by Sutton Memorial Funeral Home.
