Steven Sheets Promoted to President and CEO of Southwest Behavioral & Health Services

Steven Sheets

Southwest Behavioral & Health Services (SB&H) has announced that the Board of Directors has appointed Steven Sheets to the position of President and CEO. Sheets had been serving as interim president/CEO.

“Steven has exceptional operational and leadership experience,” said Southwest Behavioral & Health Services Board of Directors Chairman Matt Hatfield. “Our success is largely based on his visionary leadership and ability to create a culture of service and trust. The Board was extremely thoughtful with this appointment and is confident that it’s the right time to transition the organization to its next generation of leadership.”

Sheets had served as the senior vice president of outpatient services, responsible for administrative and clinical oversight for Maricopa and Gila counties’ outpatient clinics.

“I am honored to lead this organization of professionals who are so dedicated to the health and well-being of our community,” said Sheets.  “I will carry on the legacy of Jeff Jorde, who led this organization for so many years.  I appreciate the Board’s confidence in me and the team here at SB&H.”  Jorde passed away in early 2018.

Sheets earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Grand Canyon University and his Masters in Professional Counseling from Ottawa University.
