Solid waste container replacement continues

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman Solid Waste Department has begun the next phase of removing the 300-gallon shared containers from alleys and streets giving each customer their own 90-gallon container to be placed at the front of their homes.  There will be no additional charge for having an individual container instead of a shared one in the alley. For those customers getting a replacement container, trash pick-up days will remain the same. This project will be completed in multiple phases over the next few years.

This phase will include the following areas:

2400 – 2500     block of Harrison

2400 – 2500      block of Last Ave.

2400 – 2500     block of Boulder Ave.

2400 – 2500     block of Kemp Ave.

2400 – 2500     block of Crozier Ave.

2400 – 2500     block of Valentine Ave.

The City greatly appreciates your patience during this transition. For questions, please call Solid Waste Superintendent Ed Tapia at 928-692-3102.

As a friendly reminder and to best serve the citizens, here are some tips to ensure your container gets picked up:

  • Please place it curbside at the street by 6:00 A.M. the day of pick up.
  • Keep it six feet away from parked vehicles, gas meters, and mail boxes.
  • Container lids should be kept closed. Do not overfill it.
  • Bulk trash pick-ups are available for larger items that you want to dispose of. To schedule a bulk trash pick-up, please call 928-692-3115.
