Single vehicle fatality in Meadview

MEADVIEW – Speed, alcohol and failure to use seat belts are factors of focus in the investigation of a single vehicle traffic fatality in Meadview. Mohave County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the Sunday, February 9 at mile post 37.2 incident on Pierce Ferry Road.

Agency spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said a sedan operated by Dennis Lee Wilson, 38, Meadview, was southbound when it left the roadway. She said Wilson over corrected, causing the vehicle to roll several times.

“Both the driver and passenger of the vehicle were ejected,” Mortensen said. She said Wilson was dead at the scene while the adult female passenger was flown to a Las Vegas hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries.
