On September 2, 2025, while in the Las Vegas Bay Campground, a park visitor was assaulted by another camper. The visitor called 911 for assistance and the camper fled into the desert. This individual was identified as Guy Miranda. He is described as a 57 year old white male, 5’8”, 175 lbs, with short black hair and brown eyes.
