Ronald Allen Kuhr 

June 5, 1939 – May 27, 2025

Ronald Allen Kuhr, of Kingman, AZ, passed away at home on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the age of 85. Born in Lancaster, CA, on June 5, 1939, to Ferdinand Jens and Bessie Ann (Baker) Kuhr, Ronald was the third of four children. 

Throughout his early years, Ronald’s family lived in Barstow, Long Beach, and Paramount, CA, before settling in Gabbs, NV. In high school, he was an accomplished athlete, competing in basketball, football, and track and field. Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving four years of active duty and two years of inactive duty as a jet aircraft mechanic. He was honorably discharged in 1962. 

Ronald worked across many industries, including McCulloch Chain Saws, Richfield Oil Refinery, and McDonnell Douglas. Later, he pursued his passion for entrepreneurship, running his own business selling firewood. 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Sylvia, and his children: Ginger Kuhr (LeeRoy) Nelson, Holly Kuhr Molstad, Wendy (Jim) Russell, Scott (Renee) Browne, and Kimberly (Richard) Felton and numerous grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Alvin and Walter, and sister Maude Marie. 

Internment will take place at Lancaster Cemetery at a later date.
