Romo jailed following domestic dispute

LAKE HAVASU CITY – A Lake Havasu City man faces prosecution for allegedly beating a woman earlier this month. The victim told police the argument started at a bar and continued at the suspect’s home on September 10.

Police responded to a report of a domestic dispute and altercation at a home on Bluewater Drive. A police report said arriving officers witnessed Marcus Romo, 31, beating the victim inside the home.

Officers reportedly drew weapons and arrested Romo and noticed a busted chair, a smashed front window and lots of blood inside the home. The victim, police said, was sobbing uncontrollably.

“She was completely covered in blood and it was difficult to observe where there were injuries or just areas covered in blood,” the police report said. “It was obvious that her nose was damaged and possibly broken due to it being crooked.”

After he was treated for minor injuries sustained in the fight, Romo was jailed for assault, disorderly conduct and criminal damage charges.
