Reward offered following criminal damage at soccer fields

BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City Police are investigating a criminal damage incident at Rotary Park where soccer fields were significantly damaged. Mohave Silent Witness is offering up to a $1,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest of the person/s responsible for vandalizing a city park, which is utilized by hundreds of local children daily.

Detectives believe the suspect/s drove their pickup truck between the hours of approximately 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 24 and 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 25. The suspect did “donuts” over the soccer fields located on the northeast area of Rotary Park off of Riverview Drive.

The suspect/s also drove into the flagstone sign at the entrance of the RC Track causing damage.

Pool equipment was left on the field and collected as evidence. Police believe the pool supplies fell out of the suspect’s truck when they were driving recklessly on the fields.

City parks crews are diligently working on the fields to minimize impact to scheduled community soccer games.

Detectives are currently working on obtaining surveillance video from nearby houses. If anyone has any information, please contact the Bullhead City Police Department at (928) 763-1999. Or, call Mohave Silent Witness at 1-888-227-8780. Callers may remain anonymous. Police are looking for a pickup truck that would have been carrying pool supplies and will have extensive front-end damage.
