Rev. Dr. Beth Atkins Vieira

Rev. Dr. Beth Atkins Vieira passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025 after a brave struggle with cancer. She was a retired minister and elder of the United Methodist Church with pulpits in Ohio and New York. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Beth was previously a partner in an intellectual property law firm in NYC and she was an accomplished cellist.

Beth is survived by her husband, Enrique “Rick” Vieira, her sons Andrew (Nicole) and Michael (April) Vieira, grandchildren Vincent and Brooklyn Vieira, sister-in-law Raquel Garces (Javier), niece Lina and mother-in-law Maria Vieira. She is also survived by her brother Chad D. Atkins (Debra), nieces Charlotte and Nora, and aunt Diann Dorsey.

Beth was pre-deceased by her son Jason Vieira and her parents Charles and Kay (Dorsey) Atkins.

Visitation will be Monday, September 8, 2025 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home. There will be a funeral service held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Kingman, AZ.

Private burial will be held in Cincinnati, Ohio.
