Dear Editor,
Mr. Dickson, I agree we two individuals will never agree much on anything. You bask in the freedom and bounty our country provides while jumping at any chance to criticize our great nation. The Senate and House of Representatives, except for a patriotic few, need to do what is best for our Constitutional Republic and not for their personal gain.
The book bans you mention are on books titled “Gender Queer” among others that are not appropriate for K-12 students. Most parents would be appalled if their children were exposed to this trash. Any Teacher or parent that exposes their kids to these books or “Drag Shows” in the name of diversity, equity, and inclusion, DEI, should be ashamed of themselves!
Once a son or daughter turns 18 years of age then, by law, they are considered to be an adult except to buy alcohol and in some states cigarettes. More than likely there were some liberal protesters on January 6.
There are radical protesters on both sides and I do not agree with the Kill Mike Pence signs. However, Vice-President Pence could have shown some courage and demanded a national recount of the vote to bring closure.
Misinformation is just a fancy word for lies. While our current President was hiding in his basement during the COVID 19 pandemic President Trump was leading our nation through uncharted territory.
